Basic Analysis Module
Basic Analysis includes the capability to perform basic structural, normal modes and buckling analysis with the following features:

• Linear statics - linear stresses, strains and deflection due to physical or thermal loads
• Normal modes - natural frequencies and mode shapes
• Linear buckling - critical loads and buckling shapes

Basic Modeler Module
Basic Modeler includes the following capabilities:

• Automatic and mapped meshing
• Import of IGES and DXF data
• Geometry based loads and boundary conditions
• Parametric design (define models in terms of variables and equations)
• Beam Cross Section Calculator

Solid modeling Integration:
Advanced Modeler package includes geometry import from IGES, STEP and Stereolithography data formats. In addtion to these standard geometry interfaces, Advanced Modeler also offers the following direct geometrey integration:

Optimization Module Optimize designs based on minimizing weight or design objectives like plate thickness.

Maintenance, Enhancements and Support (MES) are included for ninety (90) days with the purchase of the product. You may purchase the product with Maintenance to extend MES for one full year including up to twelve incidents of Support. Maintenance includes delivery of updates containing corrections and enhancements. Support includes the answering of technical questions regarding the use of MSC.visualNastran for Windows through email or by phone. An incident includes all support efforts relating to a single customer issue and may include more than one telephone call. If the incident is the result of the software not performing as documented then the incident is not counted against the total for that customer. A copy of the license included with the software package must be signed by the Licensee's authorized representative and returned to MSC.Software before Maintenance and Support will be provided. Automatic product updates will be delivered if you have licensed the current version of the software and your maintenance contract is current.
